30.03.2017 | Why Entrepreneurship & How to outperform oneself?

Innovation & Thinking

Philippe Vallat

Talk Language: French

"Entrepreneurship and to surpass oneself": still a buzz expression? Always under increasing pressure and injunction to go higher, faster and further? Still a "success" representation, even if you fall and lose out?

During this intervention, we will explore and unravel models of thought and beliefs patterns in connection with this expression "to surpass oneself": what is the object of the surpass? Where is it headed? Of whom are we speaking of? Ah, and you shouldn't expect to find answers and solutions, because no one knows where this reflection will lead us...

18.09.2017| Holycracy:  a holistic perspective for regenerative and self-managed organisations

Yan Eperon

Talk Language: French

In a changing and unpredictable world, new organisational visions and models are emerging, offering greater flexibility, adaptability, autonomy and humanity. These tap into the principles of intrinsic motivation and natural alignement, through a meaningful purpose, team work and a distributive authority scheme.

Holycracy is at the cutting-edge of this trend. Through its holistic perspective, it recognizes that the most lucidly happy and natural expression of each individual is the very unique and perfect gift that it came to offer to the world.

What might an organisation where all are encouraged to follow their highest excitement look like?

Would it open the door to chaos ? Or, on the contrary, as this vision suggests, unveils a superior order in power and beauty, coded in the very structure of reality?

Holycracy invites you to allow this superior and natural order to emerge in the heart of the action, to guide organisations towards their greatest potential of regenerative expression. Its proposals include a generic framework of self-organisation, holistic coordination and decision-making mechanisms, as well as innovative methods to recognize and collectivement align with the highest good.

This talk is an invitation to explore the great potentials of this holistic vision, for companies and organisations wishing to increase value, meaning, freedom and satisfaction to all their stakeholders.

13.11.2017 | Building the Internet of Things, one billion things at a time

Innovation & Thinking

Dominique Guinard

Talk Language: French

"The most profound technologies are those that disappear. They weave themselves into the fabric of everyday life until they are indistinguishable from it [...]" Mark Weiser, “The Computer for the Twenty-First Century,” 1991.

A few years ago, Weiser's vision may have seemed far fetched, however the Internet of Things (aka IoT) seems to be on a fast track to make this vision a reality: connecting the fabric of our physical world, weaving it into the digital world. Depending on who you believe, the IoT should connected close from 25 to 50 billion devices by 2020.

In this talk we'll explore the trend and think about the challenges to implementing the IoT: from usability to scale, security and privacy. Expect the path to be at times bumpy, thrilling or dangerous but most importantly the IoT is going to change our world and our society in the most fundamental way so let's make sure we shape it before it shapes us!
